Discovery Gateway

Yesterday my friend Kirsten and I decided to take our kids to the Discovery Gateway, if we only knew what kind of adventure was ahead of us we would have probably stayed home. We did have a great time though. Instead of taking two cars and going seperately we decided to take frontrunner, plus they were doing a promotion where 4 people can ride for 10$ round trip so we figured why not, the ride down was perfec the kids were pretty good, and we made good time. We went into the museum and played and had fun, then we decided to go get ice cream because it was hot. On the way to get ice cream Kirstens boy had a melt down over a bug. So poor Kirsten had to deal with him, and if you know 5 yr olds a fit can last for a long time. So we were dealing with him and then he finally calmed down, mainly because he caught a bug and he was happy now. We decided to go let the kids play in the fountian, they had so much fun, but Ethan and Shaylee were soaked so the poor things had to ride home wet. We went to get on the frontrunner and didn't plan so we had no clue what time it left and ended up missing one by 6 minutes. So we waited for the next one and then we finally started going, and Tyler started getting so grumpy, and Ethan was on one again, so it seemed like a long ride home and we get to our stop get down the stairs grab the stroller and go to push the button to open the door and it wouldn't open. We pushed and pushed and then the train started moving, oh great there goes our stop. So we had to stay on the train and go to ogden and then wait another 20 minutes for it to leave again, by this point the kids were so grumpy...we were so ready to be home. Yet we had a great time, I enjpyed spending Kirsten's B-day with her and hope it wasn't that horrible.
